Chapter 290 Hopeless
Chapter 290 Hopeless
Piccolo looked up at the sky, his Adam's apple bobbing, his voice hoarse: "Elder, may you rest in peace."
Upon hearing the sound, Dandy instinctively looked up at Piccolo. Just then, Piccolo lowered his head, and their eyes met.
Dandy was taken aback at first, then her eyes lit up and her face turned red with excitement: "Ah! I understand, Piccolo, you and Nail have merged!" Piccolo smiled faintly and nodded slightly.
"Great!" Dandy cheered and jumped up on the spot.
Beside her, Bulma clenched her fists, her expression grave: "The Grand Elder is gone, Krillin... can he be resurrected?"
Son Gohan frowned, his tone heavy: "Those who have already been revived by the Dragon Balls cannot be revived a second time..."
Dandy tilted his head, his eyes widening, and exclaimed urgently, "Huh? That's not how it works! The Namek Dragon Balls can revive people an unlimited number of times!"
Son Gohan was startled, his face filled with disbelief: "What?"
Dandy waved her little hands in the air and explained earnestly, "As long as it's not a natural death, I can be resurrected as many times as I want!"
Son Gohan's tense face instantly relaxed, and hope rekindled in his eyes: "Great! A year from now, we'll use the new Namekian Dragon Balls to revive Krillin and Chiaotzu!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Gohan looked up at the vast sky, his eyes burning with fervor, his hands clenched tightly, and he prayed fervently: "Dad, come back soon! When the time comes, we'll collect the Dragon Balls together and bring Uncle Krillin and Chiaotzu back to life!"
……
Dark red dust churned across Namek, staining the sky like a curtain soaked in blood. Frieza, now only half a body, hovered in mid-air like an evil ghost, fueled by Goku's lingering aura. A bluish-purple aura, carrying a pungent, acrid smell, swirled eerily in the dim light surrounding him.
Beneath their feet, the planet's surface was riddled with holes, massive cracks stretching wildly to the horizon like monstrous beasts. Scorching magma, with a destructive force, erupted from the fissures, transforming into pillars of fire in the air before crashing down, sending sparks flying everywhere. The entire world seemed to have been placed in a gigantic furnace, the very air distorted and warped by the heat.
"Hahahaha!" Frieza's shrill laughter echoed through the apocalyptic landscape, filled with undisguised madness. His crimson eyes gleamed eerily as he roared, "Hahahaha! Where do you think you're going to run to? Look at Namek, about to be reduced to ashes! You won't even have time to get back to your spaceship, and my launcher is just a pile of scrap metal."
Sun Wukong stood tall and straight, his golden aura burning brightly, illuminating the gradually darkening sky. His gaze was piercing as he stared at Frieza, a fearless smile playing on his lips.
Seeing Sun Wukong remain silent, Frieza's laughter grew even more arrogant as golden light swirled around him: "Hmph! Saiyans are nothing but a bunch of wild monkeys. They can't survive in the universe without this planet!"
He lunged forward, his crimson eyes wide with fury: "How ridiculous! You won the battle, but you can't escape death; I lost, but I still get help at the crucial moment!" Frieza laughed maniacally, his limbs trembling and blood splattering. "Goku, what's the difference between you and a beast trapped in a trap, struggling for its life?" At that moment, a pillar of magma shot into the sky, reflecting his distorted face.
Frieza's lips curled into a mocking smile as he shrieked, "You sharing your power with me is nothing but arrogance! Don't expect me to be grateful!"
Sun Wukong turned around, his eyes blazing, and said, word by word, "I will live to show you!" As soon as he finished speaking, the golden aura around him surged instantly, transforming into a golden meteor that swept towards the vast sky with a sharp wave of energy.
Sun Wukong's long golden hair danced wildly, and his aura surged like golden flames, illuminating the dark sky. He hovered in mid-air, his gaze sharp as he silently stared at the disheveled Frieza below.
"That's enough, this battle ends here." Goku's voice wasn't loud, but it clearly reached Frieza's ears.
"What? This is the end?" Frieza's eyes widened instantly, bloodshot, as he demanded in a shrill voice, the remaining purple aura around him twisting violently with rage. He had been the ruler of the universe before; never before had he been so disrespected.
Sun Wukong leaned down slightly and said, word by word, "Look at you now, trembling all over, your fear is almost overflowing. Even if I were to defeat you completely now, what would be the point? Just live well in this universe with this fear. Don't test my patience again in the future."
Frieza hovered alone beneath the desolate sky, the purple aura surrounding him swirling chaotically in his rage. His only remaining hand had nails digging deep into his palm, blood slowly dripping from between his fingers. The humiliation of his crushing defeat pierced his proud heart like a sharp knife.
He stared intently in the direction Sun Wukong had gone, his bloodshot eyes practically spitting fire, his face contorted with extreme rage. "Damn it! That damned monkey! I am the number one in the universe! I am Frieza, the emperor of the universe! You stinking monkey, I will kill you with my own hands before I am satisfied! You just wait!" Frieza roared hoarsely. To him, as the emperor of the universe, being so humiliated by Sun Wukong was a hatred that burned like an inextinguishable flame in his heart.
Beneath the inky black sky, the sea behind Frieza surged with colossal waves that blotted out the sun, crashing down upon him with overwhelming force. The waves roared, spraying water everywhere, relentlessly washing over his body.
But for Frieza, the raging waves were futile. The humiliation inflicted by Goku was already deeply etched into his soul, and no amount of washing over it could erase it. He clenched his fists, his nails digging deep into his palms, his eyes filled with malice and resentment.
Frieza's purple aura surged wildly, his rage raging like a runaway horse, his reason completely consumed. "Ah! You should have died by my hand long ago, prepare to die!" Frieza roared hoarsely, his remaining arm suddenly stretching forward, a dazzling and ferocious purple energy ball condensing in his palm, carrying an aura of destruction, shooting like a meteor towards the departing Goku in the sky.
Sun Wukong keenly sensed the danger, quickly turning around. His eyes flashed with golden light as he saw the oncoming energy wave, and his anger flared instantly: "Frieza, you are simply unreasonable!" he roared, conjuring a ball of blazing golden energy in his right hand and thrusting it out. The two energy waves collided violently in mid-air, the blinding light exploding like the sun, and the enormous roar distorting the air itself.
Frieza stared in disbelief as the energy wave he had unleashed was reflected back by Goku, fear instantly engulfing him. But it was too late. The golden shockwave, carrying the force of a thunderbolt, slammed him violently into the ground. "Boom!" The earth trembled violently as Frieza was forced deep into the ground, creating a massive crater. Debris flew from the crater walls, and the surrounding ground cracked like a spiderweb.
The surging seawater, like a burst dam, instantly poured into the deep pit. Sun Wukong hovered in the air, his eyes blazing, staring intently at the bottomless pit, before turning and flying towards the direction where the spaceship was hidden.
At this moment, the surface of Namek began to tremble violently, volcanoes erupted one after another, and lava flowed like a giant red dragon, foreshadowing the planet's impending destruction.
Will Sun Wukong be able to find a way to escape from here...?
