Chapter 636: Travel Plans
Chapter 636: Travel Plans
Utaha's graduation thesis was already finished, so she had plenty of free time now. As for Yukino, although she still had a lot to study, she couldn't keep her head buried in books all the time. Taking proper breaks was necessary.
After hearing his mother's plans, Ichin spoke up, "Mom, aside from Tokyo, once you decide where else to go, just take the two of them out to have fun. Especially Yukino, she's already started preparing for her postgraduate exams, and it's pretty exhausting."
"Of course I know that. Do you think I don't talk about these things when I call Yukino?"
Thinking about it, Ichin realized she was right. His mom called every few days, sometimes video calls chatting with both Utaha and Yukino together, and sometimes calling them separately.
As for him, getting a call once a week was already considered good. More often than not, he was the one calling instead.
At that moment, Haruno, who had just swallowed a bite of braised pork, raised her hand. "Me! I want to go out and have fun too!"
Ichin's mother immediately smiled and nodded. "Alright, alright, Haruno, you can come along too!"
She was just as fond of this goddaughter as well.
Ichin narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at Haruno. "Haruno, you still have time to go out and play? Didn't you say you were busy with a new project? Did you secure the land nearby already?"
"Hehe! Of course I did!"
Haruno lifted her chin proudly, her face full of satisfaction. "It's already secured. We just haven't finalized how to develop it yet. But that's not something I need to worry too much about. I'll just wait for the designers' proposals. I was planning to tell you all today, but with so many people here, I ended up forgetting."
After that, Haruno explained to Ichin's parents what she had been busy with these past few days.
After listening, Ichin's father said in surprise, "The land near this villa district? I don't know the exact price, but just from what I saw on the way here, it definitely isn't cheap."
"That's exactly why we're planning to develop it into a villa district," Haruno said with a smile. "Our company doesn't have this type of project yet. And since our business in Tokyo has been going very smoothly, we finally have the confidence to expand like this. It's a rare opportunity! As for whether it will sell, there's no need to worry. I wasn't planning to build something on the same scale as this place anyway. The prices will be a bit lower. People like those at Ichin's company, Kou and Hazuki, have already been planning to buy houses here. They're just waiting for me to finish the development. My target customers aren't top-tier billionaires, but rather well-off elite professionals."
After Haruno finished, Ichin added, "In simple terms, most of those top-tier wealthy people already own several properties, so they might not even be interested in new villas. It's better to target a different group, which is more profitable. In my company, veterans like Hazuki and Kou received some shares from me early on. Over the past few years, they've earned quite a bit. Buying an apartment now wouldn't be a problem for them, but there's no real need. They might as well wait a couple of years and get a villa instead."
After hearing this, Ichin's mother nodded. "That actually sounds pretty good. I really like those kids like Kou. If you all live close to each other in the future, it'll be lively. By the way, dear, do you think we should buy a house here in the future?"
"I don't think it's necessary," Ichin's father replied while sipping his drink. "We're not going to live here long-term. Even if we come, it'll only be for a few days."
Ichin also said, "Yeah, there's no need. Mom, don't worry about that. We've already prepared rooms for you here."
"Alright then, I was just thinking about it."
Seeing that both her husband and son disagreed, Ichin's mother dropped the idea. After all, if they were to buy property, they would most likely choose to do so back home. Besides, their family didn't lack money. Buying property would only add unnecessary worries about market fluctuations.
After dinner, Ichin's father brewed tea for everyone. The men stayed in the living room drinking tea and watching TV, while Ichin's mother took the women upstairs to the home theater room to watch movies and chat.
After resting for a day, Ichin returned to work the next day. Utaha and Yukino went to college, while his parents began sightseeing around Tokyo on their own.
Since they had already visited several times, there was no need for anyone else to worry. Haruno even arranged a minivan with a driver for them, providing full transportation and making their trip much more comfortable.
When Ichin arrived at the company, Kō was already there.
"Ichin, where are your parents? Went out sightseeing?"
"Yeah, they're taking my uncle's family around Tokyo first. The day after tomorrow, they'll head to Hokkaido for a trip."
"Haa~ Hokkaido, huh. Going there in October sounds really nice." Kō smiled, then asked, "By the way, are you going too?"
Ichin shook his head. "I'm not going. I have to stay at the company and continue working on Bloodborne. But Utaha, Yukino, and Haruno will all go."
"Then won't you be all alone?"
Kō patted his shoulder. "While they're gone, want to come over and have dinner with us?"
"Sure. Do you cook at home or eat out?"
"Both. During the five workdays, we eat out twice and cook at home three times."
Ichin nodded. "Alright. I haven't been over in a while anyway. I'll come mooch some meals these days."
After settling that, Ichin began his work for the day.
A few minutes later, Hajime and Nene also arrived at the company.
Hajime pulled out a chair and sat down, then said to Ichin beside her, "Nene and I ran into your parents on the way to work just now."
Ichin looked at her in surprise. "Oh? You saw them?"
"Yeah," Hajime nodded. "Auntie even told me to come join them for lunch and asked me to bring you along. They'll pick the restaurant themselves."
"They're choosing it themselves? I wonder what kind of place they'll pick for lunch."
Ichin felt a bit curious about the lunch spot, hoping they wouldn't end up choosing somewhere bad.
But considering his parents' experience, along with their previous visits to Tokyo, it was unlikely they would pick a poor restaurant.
And even in the worst-case scenario, if the food really wasn't good, he could always take everyone somewhere else.
"Alright then, let's get to work so we can enjoy lunch properly!"
Seeing that everyone from the programming team had arrived, Ichin clapped his hands and called everyone to the meeting room for a brief meeting.
