Chapter 2 Thousand-Year Kill!
Barbara felt dizzy and slowly opened her eyes, but the scene before her was as blurry as if shrouded in thick fog.
She rubbed her eyes hard, trying to clear her vision.
Suddenly, a familiar "yaya" sound and "hoohoo" sound entered her ears. The sound was so classic that she immediately realized what it was—the sound of a Hilichurl!
Barbara's body trembled violently, instantly waking her from her deep sleep.
She quickly sat up and looked closely, only to find four Hilichurls standing in front of her!
But... what are they doing?
Her gaze first fell on the kneeling Thunder King, which was holding aloft a strangely shaped table with some odd patterns painted on it.
What's even more surprising is that several turtles were drawn on the mask on King Leidou's face, instantly turning its originally majestic image into something comical.
The two Hilichurl Windranger and Hilichurl Waterranger were holding onto Rathalos tightly, seemingly trying to prevent it from smashing the strange table in its hands.
Meanwhile, the Hilichurl thug clapped and watched the show, occasionally letting out a "hehe" laugh, as if it were all just a farce, while casually picking up the strange square stones scattered on the ground.
Barbara stared wide-eyed at the scene before her, incredulous, wondering if she was dreaming.
So she slapped her cheeks hard with both hands, trying to clear her head.
Am I dreaming?
Barbara muttered to herself, "What on earth is going on?"
When Barbara opened her eyes again, the scene before her had changed drastically.
It's just... um... even stranger...
Four Hilichurls sat on a haystack, looking at books in their hands. Wait, where did these books come from?
However, that previous scene was probably just a hallucination.
This thought came to Barbara as she saw King Raidou's mask disappear.
The turtle on the mask hadn't been wiped off, and the large book in its hand was upside down.
Wait a minute? Why is there such a big book? How was it taken out?
Gu Qian, who was secretly watching Barbara, noticed that Barbara was staring at his mask and was a little confused, so he patted Zhang Chu next to him.
"Hey, Zhang Chu, why is Barbara staring at me?"
Zhang Chu turned to look at Gu Qian and immediately saw the turtle pattern on Gu Qian's mask, almost bursting out laughing.
He took out a spray bottle from behind him and sprayed it on Gu Qian's face, then put the spray bottle away and took out a towel to wipe off the pattern on Gu Qian's mask.
"Now there's a problem."
Er Kang slowly closed the book in his hand, then turned his gaze to Barbara, who was curled up in the corner.
Her body trembled slightly, as if she were filled with fear and unease about the situation before her.
Erkang took a deep breath and continued, "We are now facing a serious predicament, which is the language barrier. Due to the limitations of the Hilichurls' bodies, we are unable to speak at all."
Just then, Gu Qian suddenly raised his hand and interjected, "Um... can't we communicate by writing?"
However, Qingyu shook his head and explained helplessly, "This probably won't work. Teyvat doesn't use Chinese characters; they have their own unique writing system, and we know nothing about it."
Hearing this, Zhang Chu couldn't help but sigh: "Tsk...this is really too troublesome."
He complained as he covered his face with the book, seemingly trying to escape the thorny problem.
"Hoohoho!"
"Holy crap! What's that noise?!"
The sudden roar startled everyone.
"That voice! It's Stormterror!"
Barbara cried out in a panic.
"Wind Demon Dragon?"
The four of them looked at each other.
The next moment, a blast wave crashed into the house.
Everyone fell silent as they watched the wind bullet land in the center of the room.
The house was immediately shattered by the blast, kicking up a huge cloud of dust.
"Cough, cough, cough!"
Barbara coughed a few times from the dust, and when she opened her eyes, she saw that the remains of the wooden house had formed a triangle, sheltering her underneath.
Looking up, I saw four Hilichurls turned to charcoal.
Before they could react, the four quickly shook off the charcoal coverings.
Qingyu glared angrily at the wind demon dragon in the sky.
"Damn it! Kill that stinky lizard!"
The scene shifts to a massive lightning-attribute cannon aimed at the Stormterror in the air.
"Where did this cannon come from?!"
Barbara stared in shock at the cannon that had suddenly appeared. She was certain that she hadn't seen the cannon before; it had only appeared in the blink of an eye!
Regardless of Barbara's ongoing existential crisis, Zhang Chu dug up a large slime from the ground and shoved it into the cannon barrel.
Gu Qian took a stick and shoved the slime into the bottom of the cannon barrel.
Er Kang turned the cannon so that the muzzle followed the Wind Demon Dragon closely.
Standing behind the control panel, Qingyu saw that everyone was ready and shouted, "Fire!!!"
After saying that, he slammed the button down.
The cannon instantly launched the Rei Slime from its barrel.
The Rei Slime quickly approached the Stormterror, unleashing its full power of lightning element, which coalesced into a fist.
Then, the fist silently extended its index and middle fingers, which flew straight towards Stormterror!
This! Is the secret of a thousand years!
"Ooooooooo!!!"
The Wind Demon Dragon's screams instantly echoed for hundreds of miles around.
A certain friar, who did nothing but wander around, felt a chill in his lower body and silently tightened his grip on the swallow.
The Wind Demon Dragon's body froze in mid-air, then crashed headfirst to the ground like an arrow.
"Tvarin!"
The bard, who was not focused on his duties, immediately went to check on the condition of the Stormterror.
When he arrived at his destination, he saw Dvalin with his head and neck completely buried in the ground, his hindquarters upside down, and he was still convulsing.
He wondered if it was just his imagination, but he felt that Dvalin's curse had lessened considerably.
It's just... a bit hurtful...
"Done and call it a day."
Qingyu clapped his hands and then looked at the dumbfounded Barbara.
Barbara rubbed her eyes, staring at the cannon that had vanished, and she was speechless.
She finally understood: these four Hilichurls were poisonous!
Qingyu looked at Barbara in front of him and stroked his chin.
They need to find something to distract her; they don't want to hurt those characters they admire and respect, since they won't die anyway.
But they must not move in front of Barbara, otherwise Barbara will definitely tell the band leader about it.
Gotta find a way.
A few minutes later, Barbara ran away, her face flushed, clutching the book in her arms.
Er Kang asked Qing Yu in confusion, "Hey? What did you give Barbara? Why did she run away without saying a word?"
Qingyu: "I don't know either. I just wanted to get rid of her, so I grabbed one at random and gave it to her. I don't know anything about the rest. I didn't even look at that thing."
Er Kang: "Is there any left?"
Qingyu: "Yes, I took two, and there's one more."
Everyone glanced at the book Qingyu had taken out, and then fell silent instantly.
No wonder, so that's what it is.
Several Chinese characters were clearly written on the book.

Chapter 3 RV
The afterglow of the setting sun spilled onto the hillside, casting long shadows of the four people.
Er Kang opened his arms and took a deep breath; the fresh mountain air made him feel refreshed and relaxed.
"This place is amazing!"
He couldn't help but sigh again, his voice echoing through the valley.
Qingyu crossed his arms and gazed intently into the distance.
"The scenery is indeed impeccable, but have you ever thought about this—"
He paused, then tapped his arm lightly with his fingertips.
"Teyvat is such a vast continent, yet we're just huddled in this corner. Isn't that a bit of a waste of this extraordinary adventure?"
Gu Qian was squatting on the ground poking a passing grass slime when he heard this and looked up.
"But here, there's plenty of food and drink..."
