Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

Chapter 262 Temporary Leadership

Chapter 262 Temporary Leadership

How to resolve emotional issues?

It's very simple: find a way to vent these emotions, or a shield. In short, as long as you can find that point and hold onto it, you can redirect these emotions to other outlets at will.

Draco himself has demonstrated this point of view.

"I never knew Draco had this trick up his sleeve!"

On the way back to the dormitory, Zabini couldn't hide his excitement and couldn't help but pat Draco's shoulder hard with his right hand.

This slap was devastating. Draco fell backward like a machine that had lost power. If Theodore hadn't reacted quickly, Draco would probably have had a bump on the back of his head.

"How about it?!"

"I didn't use that much force!"

Zabini muttered, his eyes filled with worry.

After casting two examination spells, Theodore put away his wand and concluded, "Exhaustion, plus the injuries from last night haven't fully healed."

"All right,"

Zabini understood that Draco had only managed to smooth things over by sheer willpower, and now that he had temporarily stabilized the situation, his body was naturally giving out.

"Why don't we let him rest more? We can just keep an eye on him these next few days?"

Zabini's words earned him a disdainful look from Theodore.

"Do you think I don't know he needs rest?"

"But in the current situation, can he take a break?"

"You think you can win over Slytherin's hearts with just a few words? How dare you think that?"

"It might fool the younger ones, but can it fool those foxes that are almost adults?"

Theodore's unusually long speech left Zabini speechless, but after thinking for a moment, he still hesitated and said:

"That……"

Theodore impatiently interrupted Zabini.

"I'll be watching him!"

"We've known each other for so many years, I can't just watch him die from overwork, can I?!"

"That's good, that's good!"

Seeing that the test had been successful, Zabini didn't intend to linger. He gave Theodore a look, and the two of them carried Draco directly to the dormitory.

"Um... I'm glad you didn't take your anger out on Draco..."

In the dim light, Zabini's rambling successfully made Theodore stiffen.

"Thea left...we never expected this..."

"Don't blame Draco... he didn't expect this either—"

"OK OK!"

Theodore interrupted Zabini again.

"I didn't take my anger out on Draco!"

I'm just a little sad. That person seems to have eyes for the whole of Britain, yet he won't even glance at me, and all I can do is feel powerless.

The next day, pale-faced Draco once again forced himself to go out and win over the hearts of the people.

He seemed to be born with a particular talent for manipulating people's hearts. This talent hadn't been apparent when Thea was around, but now, the boy's brilliance was finally shining forth without any concealment.

But no one knew that the boy didn't want to show off his talents; he just wanted to hide in a corner and quietly watch the moon rise in the east and set in the west, waxing and waning.

The focus shifts to the principal's office last night.

"Have a glass of honey water! After all, it takes quite a bit of magic to destroy a bathroom."

Thea paused, her outstretched hand hesitating. Even Thea, who prided herself on being able to see through people's hearts, couldn't tell whether Dumbledore's tone was a compliment or sarcasm.

From Dumbledore's perspective, if someone blew up a room in his house, he would definitely be being sarcastic, but—

Is Dumbledore the kind of person who would be sarcastic?

How can it be? !

He's the most virtuous and upright person in the wizarding world!!!

Having figured this out, Thea happily accepted the cup of honey water, drank it all in one gulp, and even let out a burp.

Dumbledore watched as Thea finished the entire glass of honey water: "…………"

Was I just being sarcastic towards this girl?

Didn't she notice?

Or has she simply developed such thick skin that she can no longer be shameless?

Dumbledore was lost in thought for a long time, while Thea remained silent, sitting quietly.

“Thea…”

Thea looked up and saw a pair of bright blue eyes staring at her.

Can I trust you?

Dumbledore was asking Thea, and he was also asking himself.

Can he really trust Thea completely?

Can he really trust this child who has Tom's blood flowing through his veins?

"Oh--"

Thea's unexpected hum broke the solemn atmosphere. "Professor, you don't need to put on this sentimental show of a monarch entrusting his son to another. I'm not the only one you have in reserve."

"I want to have a way out, you want to have more friends. We're just cooperating, not putting our lives in each other's hands."

Dumbledore was left speechless, both amused and exasperated by Thea's words.

"Thea, seeing things too clearly isn't necessarily a good thing."

"But that's better than getting lost in a fog of lies."

Dumbledore's warning was met with a sarcastic retort from Thea.

He chuckled, bent down, took a roll of parchment from the drawer, and handed it to Thea.

"Here's what you wanted."

"You think so far ahead that even I've started to imagine the future."

Thea took the parchment and carefully examined its contents. Finding no errors or omissions, she closed the parchment and carefully placed it in her inner pocket.

Hearing Dumbledore's exclamation, Thea replied cheerfully, "You should still have dreams, what if they come true someday!"

As they spoke, the clock hands slowly moved to the top number.

"Leave now?"

"Are you suggesting we stay for tea?"

"Aren't you going to say goodbye to your friends? Or at least give them a few words of explanation?"

“There’s no need,” Thea stood up. “Saying goodbye means a complete end, and I don’t like that.”

"Furthermore, they know what they want to do, so I don't need to tell them what to do."

At this point, Dumbledore noticed a hint of pride in Thea's eyes.

Thinking of those outstanding children, Dumbledore smiled.

"They are indeed very good."

"That's right, he's one of my people after all!"

"gone!"

As Dumbledore watched Thea stride out of the office, he looked at the prefectural badge Thea had left on the desk and silently put it in the drawer.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, it will remain sealed here forever.
