Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

Chapter 266 Showing Off One's Skills

Chapter 266 Showing Off One's Skills

Inside Crouch's office.

After listening to Percy's report, Crouch put down his pen and walked slowly to the window, his mind filled with all sorts of bizarre and fantastical images.

Percy, however, had already wisely left the office and closed the door.

After a long silence, Crouch let out a long sigh.

When the news of Thea's withdrawal from school came, he was so shocked that he broke a pen on the spot. Before he could even feel sorry for his old friend who had been with him for almost half his life, he began to speculate about Thea's next move.

He simply wouldn't believe that the other person had been "kicked out" by Dumbledore!

To be honest, after witnessing Thea's methods, he would believe it if you told him that she was the one who kicked Dumbledore out of Hogwarts!

Crouch's headache worsened when he recalled Percy's earlier report that "Mr. Bagman was having a pleasant conversation with Ms. Jorgins at the door."

Is Bagman the next target for Thea?

That's right, Crouch has already figured out that the "Bertha Jorkins" is Thea!

Firstly, the timing of the other party's appearance was too coincidental, as only two or three days had passed since Thea dropped out of school!

Secondly, there was Percy's report: "Bagman has submitted a leave request, and his destination is Durmstrang."

Thinking about their "pleasant conversation," Crouch was convinced that Bagman's leave was Thea's doing, a discovery that made Crouch even more alarmed.

What kind of child is like her?!

He dropped out of school and then infiltrated a government agency to "swindle and deceive" people!

But he didn't dare to speak, because that little devil had something on him.

After another long sigh, Crouch plunged back into the pile of documents.

He skipped half a day of work this morning, and now he has to make up for it.

Of course, he didn't forget to secretly place a piece of his mind on Thea, because he couldn't let the Ministry of Magic be bombed again!

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

And so, Thea began her "internship" at the Ministry of Magic.

Voldemort didn't give her any specific tasks, but she happily started playing the role-playing game, only with an additional "internship" task added to her duties.

The Department of Magical Sports was practically empty; it was basically a retirement home. The director above them would skip work from time to time, and the others naturally followed suit.

Thea was a little better off than them; she clocked in at work on time every day, but her job was changed to wandering around the Ministry of Magic.

She would casually tuck a few documents into her bag in case someone checked on her, and also pack a few packets of coffee, tea, and snacks. She could just squat down in any tea room, and without her having to say a word, a constant stream of trivial news would automatically trickle into her ears.

As the snack bag emptied, Thea had pretty much figured out the Ministry of Magic.

Soon, Little Barty received Thea's second order.

She wants to change her identity.

Barty was completely baffled by the order. After hesitating for a long time, he finally reported the matter to Voldemort.

Voldemort, in the midst of his busy schedule, took half a minute to think before replying, "Okay."

Now, Barty no longer hesitated and immediately began preparations.

A few days later, a detailed profile of the person, along with a large amount of ingredients for a compound decoction, arrived in Thea's hands.

Thea's new identity is named Obliviate Wellsley. Upon seeing this name, Thea raised an eyebrow slightly.

Complete forgetting and emptiness?

Why did you choose this name?

Thea immediately dismissed this question and continued reading. Olivia graduated from Durmstrang, but that was three or four years ago, so Voldemort's actions luckily did not affect her. However, her sister was not so lucky; she died in a "magical practice."

So she came to England, the main battlefield where she could achieve her goal of revenge.

As you continue reading, you'll find that most of the material revolves around Olivia's family background and academic achievements, which can be summed up by the phrases "well-educated" and "a prodigy."

Both of his parents were wizards, but they both died in magical experiments when he was young. He had only one younger sister, who also tragically died.

After reviewing all the information, even Thea would have started to doubt whether this person really existed, had it not been for Little Barty saying that it was all fabricated when he brought it over.

As for the compound decoction—Thea didn't care about its ingredients, anyway, Little Barty wouldn't dare to mess with her on it.

The next day, "Bertha Johankins" submitted her resignation, stating that she was going back to get married.

On the fifth day, Olivia Wellesley took office as the new deputy director of the Department of Magical Creatures.

Some people are wondering why a Durmstrang graduate would plunge headfirst into the Department of Fantastic Beasts?

If you say you value them, then you put them in a useless department; if you say you don't value them, then you give them a deputy director-level position right away...

Perhaps they are too outstanding, and we are reluctant to let them go, but we are also worried that they are not British and may have ulterior motives...

Among the many guesses, this one has gained the approval of most people.

But no matter what others speculated, Thea took office.

As the saying goes, a new broom sweeps clean, but Thea didn't start making any moves right away.

For several days in a row, she would wander around the Ministry of Magic in the mornings, making Olivia familiar to everyone there, and then spend the afternoons in the Department of Magical Creatures, getting to know the people there as well.

Since no one could figure out her intentions, they had no choice but to keep a low profile for the time being.

A few days later, Thea began her three major initiatives as a new official.

Her first act of rebellion was directed at her direct subordinates. Following the law, she directly expelled the "hopeless" members of her inner circle without any leniency, maximizing the advantages of being isolated. (To quell external threats, one must first secure internal stability.) (Establish authority √)

The second target was those few unruly factions. The saying "small temple, big wind" applies to the Department of Fantastic Beasts as well. Heaven knows how they had the time to divide a department with only a little over a hundred people into seven or eight factions.

What are the different factions: Pureblood (fewest members, most arrogant), Hybrid (opposing the Pureblood faction), Neutral (trying to maintain the balance between the two factions), Pragmatist (diligently working on Ramen Talk), Lazybones (as the name suggests), Bystander (silently watching the drama unfold), and Fence-sitter (following whichever side is more powerful).

Thea was also annoyed by these factions. She kicked out all the worthless people to restore order to the department. Then, Thea began to focus on supporting the pragmatic and neutral factions, giving them promises or exchanging benefits. Finally, she used them to crack down on those who were complacent and those with pure-blood ideology.

After a series of maneuvers, Thea forcefully divided the Fantastic Beasts into two factions: one supporting her and the other opposing her. Thea's desired outcome was initially achieved.

Until the very last act, Thea focused on attracting talent, using both incentives and threats to subdue them, and she actually succeeded.

Ultimately, the Division of Fantastic Beasts was divided into three factions: the opposition, the supporters, and the latecomers.

It is foreseeable that in the future, the three factions will rise and fall, posing a threat to each other, and eventually forming a tripartite balance of power.

After the three fires were burned, the stage was basically set up for Thea.
