Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

Chapter 38 Attitude

Chapter 38 Attitude

Thea's spell had already succeeded; she was carefully controlling Neville as he slowly descended, but perhaps because Neville was too nervous, he twisted his ankle.

When Mrs. Hooch saw Neville slumped to the ground, clutching his ankle and groaning in pain, she rushed over, pale-faced, and examined him carefully.

Relieved, she said, “Thank goodness, child, you just twisted your ankle. Mrs. Pomfrey can fix you in a second!”

After calming Neville down, she turned to the young wizards and said, "I'm taking Neville to the medical wing now. No one is allowed to ride a broomstick, or you'll all be expelled from school tomorrow!"

As Nave landed, Thea quietly took a few steps forward, seamlessly blending into the crowd.

Seeing that Mrs. Hooch's complexion wasn't as bad as before, she guessed that Neville's injuries might not be serious, and she was relieved.

Draco's eyes were filled with shock; he couldn't understand why Thea wanted to save Neville.

But he could also tell that Thea didn't want to be discovered. Thinking about the relationship between Slytherin and Gryffindor, Draco slowly shifted his gaze to Gryffindor, pretending without hesitation that he hadn't seen anything.

Thea had just finished dealing with Neville when she suddenly noticed Draco staring intently at Harry. Startled, she thought about the upcoming conflict between Draco and Harry.

In a flash, Thea came up with a solution.

She slowly approached Draco and patted him on the shoulder.

When Draco turned to look at her in confusion, she pretended to be feeling unwell and said in a low voice, "Draco, I'm a little dizzy. Could you come with me to sit under the shade of that tree over there?"

Draco knew that Thea was unwell. He found out when he went downstairs to get a book and overheard his mother asking, "Luke, Thea's potion is almost gone. Has St. Mungo's sent it yet?"

Dad reassured her, "It'll be delivered tomorrow..."

From then on, Draco always kept a close eye on Thea's physical condition, fearing that she might suddenly collapse.

Upon hearing Thea say she felt dizzy, Draco didn't bother to investigate her earlier behavior and immediately helped her towards the shade of a tree.

When Theodore and the others saw Draco helping Thea walk towards the shade of a tree, they immediately surrounded her with concern and asked, "What's wrong with Thea?"

Are you feeling unwell?

"Should we go to the medical wing to take a look?"

Several people asked questions all at once, and Thea could only explain, "I probably rested a little late yesterday, so I'm not feeling well today, but it's okay, I'll be fine after a while."

Hearing Thea's explanation, the group exchanged glances and decided to go and rest with Thea. After all, there would be more flight lessons later, and Madam Hochi hadn't said that rest was not allowed.

In this way, the still somewhat inexperienced little snakes quickly learned to find loopholes in the rules and put them into action.

After dinner, when Thea and Daphne entered the dormitory, they were surprised to see that Thea's bedside was filled with all sorts of small gifts and medicines.

Thea immediately realized: "Daphne, so that's why you sneaked into the dorm room earlier!"

Upon hearing Thea's teasing, Daphne immediately laughed and said, "What do you mean by sneaky? I brought it in openly and honestly!"

The two chatted and laughed for a few more minutes before Thea came to the bedside, picked up the gift, and began to examine it carefully.

Daphne also came over and enthusiastically introduced, "This is a gift from Blaise! I hope you can take a rest."

Thea held the owl clock in her hand, somewhat speechless.

Then Thea picked up a beautifully packaged book, opened it, and found it was a book called "The Book of Potions," which was the book she had been reading in the library these past few days, besides the school rules.

Seeing that Thea was a little confused, Daphne explained, "This was a gift from Theodore. He said it was for you so you could read it in your dorm instead of going to the library."

Thea put down her book, picked up a first-aid kit, and looked at Daphne with some confusion.

"This was sent by Draco; it probably contains some potions or something."

Thea opened the medical kit and found some cold medicine, antidote, and other medications inside.

Thea looked at the gifts and found that they were all from her Slytherin classmates, including gifts from the prefects and chairmen.

She looked at Daphne with a puzzled expression. Daphne understood her meaning, took out a large box of cosmetics from behind her back, and enthusiastically recommended, "These are a gift from Pansy and me. Darling, you should pay more attention to your appearance!"

Thea's response was to first politely thank Daphne, and then return to her desk without hesitation to write a letter.

Daphne didn't dare disturb her, muttered a few words about her poor taste, and went to wash up.

When Thea finished writing her thank-you notes to these people, her expression turned somewhat solemn, because it was only then that she realized that the gifts of appreciation from the Slytherin students today might just be the beginning.

Tomorrow will probably be the time for those people to really put their efforts into action.

Thea doesn't regret being busy tonight or even later; the current busyness is incomparable to the future gains.

Thinking of the complex gazes in the crowd and Professor Snape's dark face tonight, Thea knew that her plan had succeeded!

While Thea was writing her reply, Harry was also writing a letter.

He had also witnessed Thea saving Neville with her wand during the day, and at that time he was planning to turn around, grab a broom, and fly up to save Neville.

Unexpectedly, he witnessed Thea saving people and also discovered Hermione, who was just as shocked as he was!

Because Hermione stopped Harry from speaking in public during the day, Harry couldn't find an opportunity to be alone with Hermione. He could only write to Hermione to arrange a time, hoping that Hermione could give him an answer.

Harry's feelings toward Thea are now somewhat complicated. At first, back at Madam Malkin's Robes Shop, he was very happy to become friends with Thea, which is why he was so excited to greet her on the first day of school.

Unexpectedly, things took an increasingly outrageous turn, leaving Ron speechless after being confronted by Thea. Harry also felt that Thea had gone a bit too far.

But there was no follow-up to Thea's complaint, and Harry felt that Thea was still very kind.

But Draco's attitude towards him was so terrible that Harry's impression of Thea was also affected.

Even today, Harry was shocked to see Thea save Neville, which was even more shocking than when Draco apologized to Ron!

Harry breathed a slight sigh of relief as he watched Hedwig's retreating figure.

There were many letters being written today. Many Slytherin students, upon receiving news that Thea was unwell, immediately went to verify its authenticity, then began preparing gifts to comfort her, and subsequently wrote letters home.

Younger students don't understand why their families are telling them to keep an eye on Thea, but students in third grade and above understand the reason behind it.

Thea's identity is so special that countless people would turn against her for even the slightest action.
