Chapter 216 A Date with Luna
Chapter 216 A Date with Luna
Chapter 216 A Date with Luna (Date)
The autumn wind blows across the Black Lake at Hogwarts, lifting the occasional maple leaves that have fallen on it, which then twirl and fall back down.
Luna stretched out her feet and gently kicked the water in the black lake, while her eyes thoughtfully watched Loila sitting beside her, also kicking the water.
"Loila?"
"Hmm?" The blue eyes looked up in confusion, staring at Luna with a somewhat bewildered expression.
"Shall we go to Hogsmeade?"
"Um?"
Confusion turned into strangeness, and then into a little fear.
"Hogsmeade—it's not fun," Loila whispered. She really didn't like going to Hogsmeade—many wizards there knew her, and ever since she went there once at the start of the semester—she never wanted to go again.
Now she even entrusts Hagrid with her shopping.
"Is Loila afraid of being surrounded by people?" Luna tilted her head and saw right through Loila's little scheme.
"No—no—um! Yes, yes, yes!" Loila blushed as her ear was pulled, "I—I don't want to be surrounded by those people—"
"That's too...too scary."
"I see—then I'll just go disguised." Luna shrugged and said, "Loila can just become Loila."
""
"Hmm————" That's what she says, but it's a bit complicated to put it that way. Besides, Loila doesn't like shopping. Walking from Hogwarts Castle to the Black Lake is her most frequent exercise of the day.
Ah—could this be the reason I'm not growing taller? I don't eat much and I don't exercise at all—
"I've heard Hogsmeade has a lot of interesting places," Luna whispered, noticing Loila seemed somewhat interested. "And Miss Nagini isn't here right now."
"This is a covert operation!"
"A stealthy operation?" Upon hearing this word, Loila subconsciously pursed her lips. Using such a friendly term was almost unfair!
“That’s right.” Luna said, snuggling close to Loila’s pointed ear. “There’s a saying—that this kind of behavior is called dating.”
.
"A date?!" Loila blushed.
Luna, what are you saying?! You're only in second grade! Who taught you this? I'm going to use the Cruciatus Curse to teach them how to talk to a child!
"Yeah, it's a date between friends," Luna said, winking.
Ah—between friends?
That's good then.
Loila nodded upon hearing this: "Then when will we—set off?"
"Of course—let's go now!" Luna said, getting up and running across the grass at Hogwarts without even putting on her shoes.
"Luna! Wait a minute!" Loila had to wave her wand, grab herself and her shoes, and then run off.
"Hogsmeade is huge," Ron said as he stretched as he strolled along the streets strewn with fallen maple leaves. "It's a shame Harry can't come."

"I'm sorry too," Hermione said, shaking her head. "But it's not necessarily a bad thing."
"Huh?" Ron paused for a moment before saying, "Isn't this a bad thing?"
"Ah—" Hermione paused and added, "I mean—Harry can finally practice his magic circle skills, can't he?"
'
"Look how much he likes Professor Hamilton—"
"Does he really like Professor Hamilton?" Ron scratched his head in confusion.
"Of course." Hermione shook her head, looking at the somewhat dazed Ron: Never mind—
"Shall we go take a look here?" she said, pointing to Honey Duke not far away. "I heard they have some new products here."
"I've heard Fred and George mention it too—" Ron nodded in recollection, "They said there's candy here that makes people breathe fire."
"That's Zonko's Joke Shop, isn't it?" Hermione chuckled and pushed open the shop door to go inside, while Ron shrugged and followed her in.
As the two opened the door, another figure with red hair emerged from inside, followed by a girl with long silver-gold hair.
"Finally got it." Luna smiled as she held the candy in her hands.
"There are so many people inside!" Loila said, touching her ears in her hair. Her pointed ears were all bent out of shape from being squeezed.
"So—are you still going to eat this candy?"
"It doesn't taste good." Luna shook her head.
""
Then why are we squeezing in so many people?
"Because this candy can be used to lure horned snorkels," Luna said, lowering her voice. "It's a secret I got from Mr. Scamander."
Is that so?
"We're going to look for the Curved-Horned Snoring Beast when we have a holiday," Luna said with a soft laugh.
Ah—I should apologize to Luna for this—I was supposed to go during summer vacation, but because of my actions—Loira lowered her head somewhat embarrassed: "I'm—sorry, Luna—"
"Why apologize?" Luna said, unwrapping a candy and stuffing it into Loila's mouth.
Loila chewed the candy a few times unconsciously, then paused for a moment.
"I think it's pretty... pretty delicious."
"Of course it's delicious!" Luna blinked. "I was just kidding!"
"The Curved-Horned Snoring Beast doesn't eat candy!"
Luna, how did you learn to lie too?! Yeah—I get punished for lying, why don't you get punished?!
Loila pouted as she looked at the smiling Luna and thought for a moment. Then, suddenly, an impulse made her reach out and gently grasp Luna's smiling hand, applying a slight pressure.
"You—you can't lie to me either," she said softly, her voice barely audible compared to the autumn breeze.
"So this is punishment?" Luna paused for a moment, then pursed her lips. "I'll have to think about it."
"Hmm!"
No, no—I'm absolutely no match for Luna! Roy abruptly pulled his hand back and covered his face.
How come I'm not even a primary school student?
"It's okay, Lola," Luna said with a smile. "Isn't it normal for girls to hold hands?"
As she spoke, she looked at two young Hogwarts wizards who happened to be passing by.
Those were two students, and they were holding hands.
It seems...it seems so...then I was just talking about punishment...am I an idiot? Absolutely!
"Um?
""
Feeling something, Loila suddenly felt her hand being pulled by someone—was it—was it Luna?
She looked up slightly and saw Luna's smile.
"I think I just lied again."
"Can Lola punish me?"
"Ugh!" Loila's face immediately flushed red, and she lowered her head, unable to speak for a long time—
Until she heard a cold, icy voice.
"Oh."
"Isn't this Miss Hamilton?"
"Playing house with students—that suits you perfectly."
Loila suddenly looked up and saw a pair of cold purple eyes, and next to those purple eyes, eyes as black as Hagrid's, but without any warmth.
It's Professor Snape and Miss Sisyphus!
(Note: All interactions between the girls in this chapter are purely platonic and for no other reason!)
