Chapter 69 Lending a Helping Hand
Chapter 69 Lending a Helping Hand
King Moai's minions were of various shapes and sizes; some had sharp claws, while others carried enormous weapons. They roared as if awaiting King Moai's command, ready to pounce on Vegeta and Nappa at any moment.
Vegeta and Nappa, however, showed no fear. Back to back, they warily observed their surrounding enemies. Vegeta secretly calculated that in this situation, they could not launch an attack blindly; they had to first understand the enemy's strengths and weaknesses.
Nappa, however, couldn't contain himself any longer. He whispered to Vegeta, "Your Highness, these guys look very arrogant. Let me go and teach them a lesson first."
Vegeta gently stopped him, saying, "Don't rush, let's see how things go first."
King Moai, seeing Vegeta and Nappa's composure, was somewhat puzzled. He had originally thought these two outsiders would be intimidated by his imposing presence, but he hadn't expected them to be so calm.
"Do you think I'll let you off so easily?" King Moai roared again.
Vegeta sneered, "You think you can stop us? We Saiyans are not to be trifled with."
Just as the two sides were locked in a stalemate, an alarm suddenly sounded from inside the castle. A subordinate rushed to King Moai and said anxiously, "Your Majesty, something terrible has happened! The energy core is acting strangely; it seems like something is invading it!"
King Moai's expression changed. He realized that these two outsiders might not be his biggest problem.
"You keep an eye on them first, I'm going to check on the energy core." After saying this, King Moai turned and walked towards the depths of the castle.
Vegeta and Nappa exchanged a knowing smile upon seeing this opportunity. Vegeta whispered, "Looks like our chance has come."
They acted swiftly. Vegeta, like a bolt of lightning, instantly charged towards the nearest enemy, his fists raining down on them, each punch carrying immense power, forcing the enemy to retreat. Nappa, on the other hand, used his superior strength, charging like an enraged bull, smashing away the enemies surrounding him.
After a fierce battle, Vegeta and Nappa successfully escaped the enemy's encirclement. They headed towards the energy core, wanting to see what was invading the planet's energy core.
When they arrived at the room containing the energy core, they saw a massive energy device. The device shimmered with dazzling light, and strange creatures moved about within it. These creatures appeared to be made of energy, their bodies transparent, radiating powerful energy fluctuations.
King Moai is fighting these energy creatures. Although he is huge and strong, he is struggling against these agile energy creatures.
“What are these things?” Naba asked in surprise.
Vegeta frowned and said, "They look like some kind of energy life form. They might be after the planet's energy source."
Vegeta and Nappa did not immediately join the battle; they observed from the sidelines, trying to find the weaknesses of these energy creatures.
After some observation, Vegeta discovered that the core of these energy creatures seemed to be their weak point. By attacking their core, he could destroy them.
“Nappa, let’s attack their core,” Vegeta said.
Nappa nodded, and the two of them charged towards the energy creatures simultaneously. Vegeta unleashed his signature technique, "Prince's Battle Technique," moving swiftly to evade the energy creatures' attacks while searching for an opportunity to strike their core. Nappa, on the other hand, used his power to charge directly at the energy creatures, drawing their attention and creating an opening for Vegeta.
With Vegeta and Nappa working together, the energy creatures were eliminated one by one. King Moai, witnessing this, was both surprised and grateful.
"Thank you for your help," said King Moai. "I misunderstood you before."
Vegeta said calmly, "We just don't want to get involved in unnecessary trouble. Now we need to continue on our way."
King Moai nodded; he knew that these two powerful warriors had their own missions.
Vegeta and Nappa left Moai, boarded their spaceship again, and headed towards Earth. This brief stay, though fraught with difficulties, allowed them to witness even more strange creatures and unknown dangers in the universe.
……
On King Kai's planet.
King Kai watched as Goku gradually disappeared and said with satisfaction, "The Saiyans truly live up to their reputation as a warrior race. I never imagined that Goku would become so powerful after only a year of training here."
“Yes, and judging from Goku’s aura just now, he seems to be even stronger than King Kai.” Little Grasshopper Gregory turned to look at King Kai.
"Roar!" The gorilla Barbus beside him pounded his chest in agreement, seemingly in agreement with Gregory's words.
"Ah...really...ha...ha...hahahaha! But his sense of humor is still not as good as mine." King Kai scratched his head to ease his embarrassment and laughed, "I wonder when Goku will arrive. I hope he's still in time. I'd better inform the Earth Gods and tell the Earth warriors to get ready."
……
In the secluded and mysterious training grounds of the Celestial Temple, Shang Yun, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu were completely immersed in intense training. Every drop of their sweat shimmered with unwavering determination under the brilliant sunlight, and every movement was imbued with the power and resolve to protect Earth. They were single-mindedly honing their skills to safeguard their beloved blue planet in this vast universe.
Shang Yun remained seated cross-legged in the air, eyes closed, hands clasped together, swaying with the wind. Krillin, meanwhile, was completely absorbed in his training, his movements as agile as a monkey leaping through the forest, his punches and kicks accompanied by a sharp whistling sound, as if the air itself were being torn apart by his actions. Yamcha frowned, veins bulging slightly on his forehead, seemingly pondering every flaw in his techniques, constantly adjusting his movements, trying to break through his limits. His focused expression suggested that nothing in the world mattered to him; only training and becoming stronger were his current mission. Tien Shinhan's expression was solemn, like a steady mountain, his aura calm and powerful. He and Chiaotzu worked in perfect harmony, conducting special training. Their figures crisscrossed the training ground, as if they were telepathically connected; every glance, every movement was perfectly timed, showcasing the deep understanding cultivated over a long period.
