Chapter 102 Battle Against the Snake Monster
Chapter 102 Battle Against the Snake Monster
After Harry and his two companions reached the bottom of the passage, one after the other.
Led by Harry, with Lockhart in the middle and Ron bringing up the rear, the formation moved forward.
"Harry, this snakeskin is huge!"
Ron stared in amazement at the snakeskin before him, oblivious to the murderous glint in Lockhart's eyes.
"Bring it to you!"
Lockhart yanked hard, and Ron's wand was snatched away!
Harry walked ahead, some distance from the two. After hearing Ron's exclamation, Harry turned around and was met with Lockhart pointing his wand at him.
"Don't worry, once we get up there, I'll spread your story far and wide!"
Of course, the protagonist of the story is different now!
Lockhart's face was full of pride, his eyes sparkling, as if he could already foresee the scene of his new book becoming a bestseller.
"Forget everything and it's all empty!"
Lockhart pointed at Harry and roared with all his might.
"Oh!"
The curse rebounded onto Lockhart!
The powerful impact slammed the other party hard against the wall.
Before Harry and Ron could react, the entire wall began to shake.
"Get down!"
Harry only had time to shout one word before his view was completely blocked by the falling stones!
After a violent shaking, Harry stood up, brushed the dirt off his clothes, and then lay down on a rock to shout to the other side:
Ron, are you alright?
“I’m fine, but Lockhart seems a bit off…”
Ron looked helplessly at Lockhart, whose face was blank, and casually picked up a stone and hit him on the head!
Lockhart fell to the ground with a thud.
Harry looked at the scene before him with a pained expression.
“Harry, keep going! I’ll be right behind you!” Ron called out.
Harry took Ron's advice and turned to walk deeper into the area.
The airflow allows the gases produced by the burning herbs to diffuse within the narrow channel.
Harry was focused on moving forward, and the unfriendly atmosphere in the Chamber of Secrets distracted him so much that he failed to notice the strangeness in the air.
Harry walked for a long time before finally seeing an open space ahead.
Upon closer inspection, there was another person lying on the ground!
Harry quickly ran over.
He lunged at the girl, throwing his wand aside.
"Ginny! Ginny! Wake up!" Harry cried anxiously.
"She won't wake up now."
A hoarse voice reached Harry's ears.
Harry looked up and saw a wizard, completely shrouded in a black robe, slowly walking towards him.
"Who are you? What do you mean by that?"
Harry looked at the unfamiliar wizard in front of him with some wariness.
“I said, she’s still alive, but she won’t wake up now.”
After drinking the compound decoction, Thea curled her lips into a smile typical of a villain.
That smile sent a chill down Harry's spine, but his inherent kindness compelled him to speak.
"Can you help me? Help me get Ginny upstairs! It's so cold in here, she won't be able to stand it!"
"Ah!"
Thea let out a disdainful hiss, "Harry Potter! Are you really that naive or just plain stupid?"
Thea spun around on the spot, pointed at herself, and said, "Can't you tell? I'm the one who made Ginny fall into a deep sleep!"
"Why?!"
Harry demanded angrily, "Why did you open the Chamber of Secrets?!"
Thea ignored Harry's anger and continued in a melodious tone, "Because you're here! I've always wondered how a baby could defeat Lord Dark Lord!"
I came to Hogwarts full of hope, only to find that you were just an ordinary student, nothing special.
Thea's voice suddenly rose in pitch.
"I made Ginny open the secret chamber because I wanted to see if the great savior would fall into the mud amidst the misunderstandings of countless people!"
Harry was shocked, unable to understand why there could be such a twisted person in the world who would release the Basilisk just to prove his conjecture!
“You’re despicable!” Harry said through gritted teeth, the harshest word he had ever uttered.
Thea brushed the dust off herself without a care and scoffed, "You're still just a kid! You can't even swear!"
Harry glared at the shameless guy in front of him, wishing he could kill him with his eyes!
Thea, estimating that the herbs had taken effect, clapped his hands and announced to the somewhat bewildered Harry:
"Now, I'm going to show you the works left behind by the great Slytherin!"
Come out, Slytherin's representative!
Noticing the strange movement of the statue in front of him, Harry looked in the direction of the sound, and the next second, a snake about 50 inches long swayed out.
Harry instinctively turned and ran away into the distance.
"Hey! Savior! You forgot your wand!"
Thea watched as Harry ran towards the pipe entrance without looking back and called out to him.
Upon hearing this, Harry couldn't help but mutter a curse under his breath; he didn't believe the other person was reminding him!
"Shh!"
As the sound of the basilisk scraping against the ground grew closer, Harry panicked and rushed into the nearest side passage.
Thea followed behind the basilisk, watching Harry walk into the trap she had set, and smiled slightly.
The basilisk sensed Thea's emotions and mustered all its strength to rush into the pipe Harry had run through.
"Da...da...da"
"Huff...huff...huff...huff..."
As the footsteps grew faster and faster, Harry's breathing became heavier and heavier. At this moment, Thea's herbs took effect, making him feel dizzy.
"Oh!"
The pain from his arm hitting the railing brought Harry back to his senses.
As the basilisk drew closer, Harry closed his eyes and held his breath.
Harry felt something in his hand, took a deep breath, and tentatively threw it in another direction.
As the rustling sounds faded into the distance, Harry opened his eyes.
Before he could catch his breath, Harry quickly retraced his steps through the tunnel, trying to bring Ginny out with him.
"Hey! You're still alive?"
Thea's harsh voice rang out again, causing Harry to grip his wand tightly in tension.
Seeing that Harry was about to attack her, Thea dodged to the side in a flash. "I don't want to fight you. If word gets out, people might say I'm bullying a kid!"
Then Thea clapped her hands again, and the familiar crawling sound rang out once more.
"Let him deal with you; at least it'll be a proper ending?"
Thea teased, her expression making Harry want to punch her.
"Wow..."
With a clear chirp, Harry looked over in surprise.
"Fox!"
But Fawkes didn't respond to Harry's joy; he simply tossed a tattered hat aside and walked away.
"Hahahaha!"
Thea laughed wildly, "Dumbledore only brought you a tattered hat!"
"You can always put your hand in and try it; maybe you'll find a surprise inside?"
Harry seemed to sense something and obediently reached his hand inside.
"Shh!"
A gleaming golden sword appeared in Harry's hand.
Thea's expression also turned serious, and she said in a gloomy tone, "Well, it really is Dumbledore!"
"Gott! Go! Kill him!" Thea roared.
